Last Bouchra Jarrar.. and last post of Paris Couture. I love that the narrow sheer panel across the bust and the thigh high slit are joined by the white satin edging. It looks like the last bit of seam preserving the models modesty could come apart at any moment. It’s hot.. but not in a slutty way. It’s makes me sad to think the only person I could see wearing this would be Tilda Swinton, when Elie Saab and Marchesa are all over celebrities like a frilly rash.
Another Bouchra Jarrar. I love the contrast between the grey wool and the black silk lining underneath. I’m definitely a big lover of fur.. but I think it’s a bit too much for such a simple dress.
Part of Bouchra Jarrar’s Spring 2011 Couture collection. Stunning ivory silk dress though I feel it edges a little too close to the boring side.
Armani Prive Spring 2011 Couture. It upsets me that there are fewer and fewer buyers of couture. It’s dying on its’ knees.

Dior’s Spring 2011 Couture. This is my favourite of the couture shows. It was vibrant and varied. The clothes were fun and interesting but classic too. It reminds me of something Avedon might have shot in the 50s.
