Cliched reblog photo.. but it is pretty amazing. La Moss walking for Galliano way back in 1993.

Anna Wintour. Image borrowed from The Sartorialist. It’s odd to see her walking in the street, without any security.
A bit of menswear before bed. Maison Martin Margiela Fall 2011 show. A great collection.. this suit has been overlooked by a lot of the other coverage I’ve seen. Beautiful double breasted jacket with what looks like shearling trim on the lapels. I want to see it in person quite badly. The dishevelled styling is great too - the odd button not fastened here, a bit of shirt poking out there.
Note to self. Buy more turtle necks.
Marni Pre Fall 2011 again. Shearling lined yellow laquered fabric - looks a little bit pvc.. looks a little like an anorak. Shouldn’t work but I think does.
Marni Pre Fall 2011 shown in New York. I have a bit of a fetish for an elbow patch on anything.. shirts/jumpers/whatever. So when I saw this white shearling coat with giant black elbow patches.. maybe at this size they should be called panels. Who knows. I love it. The bold choice of tights is a reminder that this a Marni ensemble.
Last Bouchra Jarrar.. and last post of Paris Couture. I love that the narrow sheer panel across the bust and the thigh high slit are joined by the white satin edging. It looks like the last bit of seam preserving the models modesty could come apart at any moment. It’s hot.. but not in a slutty way. It’s makes me sad to think the only person I could see wearing this would be Tilda Swinton, when Elie Saab and Marchesa are all over celebrities like a frilly rash.
Another Bouchra Jarrar. I love the contrast between the grey wool and the black silk lining underneath. I’m definitely a big lover of fur.. but I think it’s a bit too much for such a simple dress.
Part of Bouchra Jarrar’s Spring 2011 Couture collection. Stunning ivory silk dress though I feel it edges a little too close to the boring side.
